Methodist Homes Sunday
10th June 2018
As MHA celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2018, Methodist Homes Sunday will have a special emphasis on the achievements of age and the completeness of life.
This year our theme of worship is 'Full of Years' and we're inviting church groups to celebrate the day by taking our theme and looking at ways in which we can help one another to support older members of our church and society as well as recognise and value the unique insights and perspectives of those who are in later life.
By holding a Methodist Homes Sunday Service, your church helps us to do practical things that help older people not just survive, but to thrive. Your charitable income will help us provide services that make a real difference to the quality of the lives of the people we serve. Our Chaplains who are a source of counsel, advice and guidance; our Music Therapists who can give someone with dementia the opportunity to express their feelings; and our Live at Home community based schemes who work to make sure people don't become isolated or lonely in their own home.
The suggested date for Methodist Homes Sunday is 10th June 2018 but you're welcome to hold an event on a more convenient date, at any time of the year, to suit your church.
