...the divine is calling your name ...

Our reflection this week is written by Tim Baker. He writes "The God who made the mountains and the stars is calling you. Desiring you. Hoping for relationship with you."

Tim has also made a video of his reflection this week, and it can be downloaded for from by clicking here.

Next week will be our covenant service, where once again we will be asked to bind ourselves completely to God. For many of us this is a very hard service. It requires us to dig deep within ourselves.

In the Service book the introduction to the covenant service says "The covenant service reaches right back to John Wesley... The emphasis of the whole service is on God's readiness to enfold us in generous love, not dependent on our deserving. Our response, also in love, springs with penitent joy from thankful recognition of God's grace. We promise to look beyond our needs and wants and focus on God's will. The covenant is not just a one-to-one transaction between individuals and God, but the act of the whole faith community."

As we move closer to this years covenant renewal may we listen to God's still small voice as we contemplate "I am no longer my own but yours" dear Lord.

God bless
