Halton Trinity Church, Halton Village, Runcorn

Halton Trinity Methodist Church is located on Main Street, which runs the entire length of Halton Village. At one end is the Seneschal's House, a Grade II Listed building, dated from 1598, which is the oldest standing building in Runcorn. The Church was built in 1875 by local business man, Thomas Hazlehurst and is the last of 12 Methodist Chapels designed and constructed by him in Runcorn and Widnes. Although little altered from the outside, it is doubtful that Thomas Hazelhurst would recognise the interior, for in 1974 the layout was changed, dispensing with the old pews and creating a more 'user friendly' entrance porch.

One thing that hasn't changed though is the way Halton Trinity serves the local community through weekly worship, Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals and providing a venue for meetings and events throughout the week. Every Sunday there's worship at 10.45am with Junior Church followed by refreshments. Halton Trinity offers a home to many groups which operate all through the week:
Every other Monday Halton Circle (8pm to 9pm); every Tuesday 'Bacon Butties and Coffee and Chat' (10.30am- 12noon) and 'Singing for Fun' (7pm – 9pm); every other Wednesday Women's Fellowship (2pm -4pm) and Bible/Discussion Group (7.30pm- 9pm); every Wednesday Slimming Club (5.30pm- 7pm); first Wednesday of month Women's Institute (7.15pm- 9pm); every Thursday Asylum Seekers Drop In (10am-12.30) and Connect Group (6.30pm- 9pm).

Our minister, Rev. Alison Crookes and Deacon Tim Coleman are pleased to welcome you and your family into the church whether it be during a service or for an event or at a group during the week.
