In 1818 a group of people from Frodsham walked to Halton village and sang hymns outside where the village shop stand today. That began the journey of Methodism in Halton village . First meeting in a cottage , then in a small church which became too small, so Thomas Hazelhurst was persuaded to spend £70 on a piece of land and Trinity was built.
